The Focusing Effect is a faux-documentary/horror film about three film students who make a doc about breakups, only to push one of their subjects too far.

牧江村郊(🌿)野山(💽)藏有一怪，赤面獠(⛹)牙，名(🍋)曰(yuē(🥙) )垃圾(jī )人，他身世神秘(mì(❤) )，以(yǐ(🎨) )垃圾为(wéi )食，日遇村妇(🎿)马(mǎ(🐃) )秀娟(🤞)(juān )，将其掳掠。马(mǎ )秀娟(juā(🍎)n )通过(🎯)与垃圾人的交往(🚠)，发现(🥍)(xiàn )他(🍵)虽丑陋骇人，却心(xīn )地单纯。但(🔼)天不(🥖)(bú )遂人(rén )愿，“单纯(🕢)”的垃(🍺)圾人(🦅)(rén )却将(jiāng )马秀娟视为配偶(ǒ(🌴)u )，囚(qiú(🏙) )于废弃厂房。矿山(🍷)老板(🎲)(bǎn )徐(👋)东(dōng )南徐西北两兄弟(dì )欲借(🎉)(jiè )炸(🏅)山除垃圾人之名(🕴)在野(📵)山非(🕔)(fēi )法拓矿，全然不(bú )顾马(🌸)(mǎ )秀(👒)娟安危。而垃(lā )圾人(ré(🐦)n )通过(📂)马(mǎ(🚥) )秀娟逐渐了解人(rén )类的(🆎)(de )尊重(🖤)与爱，遂将(jiāng )其放(📈)(fàng )归(🚀)牧江(🔐)村。马秀娟得知徐东(dōng )南阴谋(🐩)后为(🛫)救垃(lā )圾人(rén )与(👃)之抗(😢)争，最(📩)终(zhōng )被绑(bǎng )于山上(shàng )，垃圾人(🖥)为救(📶)马(mǎ )秀娟(juān )与徐(🍰)东南(🏠)死命(⚪)相(xiàng )搏，后被徐东南炸死。环保(🛌)(bǎo )组(🔐)织(zhī )声明垃圾人(🐧)出现(🎍)(xiàn )乃(📨)牧(mù )江村的环保意识(shí(🦄) )薄弱(🚞)之恶果(guǒ )，垃圾人本无(🌭)罪(zuì(🌆) )，罪(zuì )在人心对环境的(de )态度(dù(👹) )，并呼(🎱)(hū )吁民众善待环(📒)境(jì(🌊)ng )。
